Call for Maps/Posters

Map galleries are often part of GIS Day celebrations. As such, the Geomatics Atlantic 2008 Conference Planning Committee would like to invite all conference attendees to submit a map/poster for the map gallery. In keeping with the conference theme, maps/posters will only be posted on the conference website - in a virtual map gallery.

Each person submitting a map/poster will receive a GIS Day gift, donated by ESRI®.

The three best maps/posters, as selected by the Conference Planning Committee, will be awarded a prize, donated by McKiel Enterprises Ltd. Prizes consist of an Octacompass board game. Octacompass, developed in Saint John, is the world's only surveying-based board game.

Map/Poster Submission Guidelines

- Any registered conference attendee may submit a map/poster.
- Multiple submissions are encouraged.
- Maps/posters should be submitted in JPG or PDF format, with a file size no larger than 5Mb.
- A short description must accompany each map/poster.
- Please ensure that the required copyright information is visible on the map/poster and that the
appropriate permission (from employer or client) has been obtained before submitting.

E-mail submissions to yves.leger@saintjohn.ca. Submissions will be accepted until October 31st, 2008.
