Two Challenging Changes: Changing Climate and Changing Ourselves

(Carl Duivenvoorden)

Mr. Carl Duivenvoorden, one of only two Atlantic Canadians tasked with spreading Al Gore's message on climate change.

Carl is a longstanding member of Toastmasters, and has spoken before more than 250 audiences of all sizes. Formerly with Efficiency New Brunswick, he now makes his living as a speaker, writer and consultant, presenting Al Gore's message about our global climate crisis to as many audiences as possible. He looks forward to sharing his passion with you.

"Every day the science seems clearer: climate change is here and it seems to be happening faster. Canadians are telling pollsters that they are concerned and ready to act. But how much do we really know about the implications of global warming? And are we really ready to do what it takes to solve our climate crisis?

In this keynote address, Carl Duivenvoorden will inform, provoke and motivate. He'll provide an overview of the science of global warming, suggest some key changes we need to think about making, and offer solutions. Carl believes that, with commitment and focus, every person can make a positive difference. He aims to convey a message of awareness, urgency and hope."
